The promotional products that I have produced altogether include, a teaser trailer, movie poster and a relevant magazine cover. These early products will publicise the upcoming release and allow for the target audience of male teenagers to spread via word of mouth the release. Early teaser trailers allows areas for the movie to expand and if neccessary change specific areas if needed, therefore they can gain mediated audience feedback on any positive and negative points.
Movie posters and articles in magazines including front covers are also key elements in order to promote the future film release as well as the teaser trailer. I decided to promote our film through movie magazine Total Film. This magazine is one of the leading magazines globaly, therefore publicising our film through this particluar magazine will increase the audiences awareness of the release.
In order to publicise the movie on the cover of Total Film magazine I decided to shoot a later photoshoot of the movies lead actors. After researching existing covers by Total Film we noticed that they all tend to have a special photoshoot exclusive to the magazine to specifically be used on the cover and the articles inside.
The secondn piece of ancillary text was a movie poster for our teaser trailer. I decided to use an image from my own personal photography taken in London of a similar looking male to one of the actors, in an unseen location comparing to the trailer. Specifially

This is rather too brief and underdeveloped. You need to explore how films are marketed, the role of the film distribution company, the separate marketing strands of advertising, publicity, and promotion. Then you need to show how your two advertising products, the trailer and the poster, work together to form a coherent advertising message for the film. Then you need to look at how a distribution company would try to ensure good publicity for a film, such as getting it onto the cover of a monthly magazine. Take a look at the launchingfilms website what a lovely handout if you want to refresh your understanding of all this before redrafting.
