Individual Pitch for a Horror Movie

LOCATION: Lake District, England.

CHARACTERS: 4 MEN, 4 WOMEN (Aged between 21-24)

ANTAGONIST: Spiritual possesion.

NARRATIVE;

The film would follow the life's of eight close friends fresh out of University. After completing their degree's they look for an adventure before going off into the real world of work. One of the group members, male 1 (unknown name as of yet), is highly interested in the spiritual world of angels and demons. So with the group still unsure where they want to go, he suggests they go to the national park, The Lake District, but not anywhere on the park's map of attractions and favourite spots.

Without telling the rest of the group, male 1 leads the group to the distinctive but barely walked location deep in the forestation of The Lake District. The rest of the group become suspicous of their location but carry on, however male 1 calms those peoples nerves stating that he has been here on many occasions, which is clearly a lie due to his on-going gazing around, as if he hasn't seen none of this before, which is true.

As they near the location their destined for, suddenly another male goes missing, and from this point the rest of group remain scared and on edge, and land numerous questions to male 1, who firstly states 'a lot has changed since i was younger' however he eventually admits to have never been there before, before showing the group a book which would reveal what is going on around them.
As their fear builds, so does the attacks and scares. With no explanation, a few group members believe it's someone in the group and inparticular male 1. The groups strength of numbers suddenly falls apart and the group splits into 3 groups and leaving male 1 on his own.

The groups get killed and the final protagonist, female 1 and another male have no choice but to believe in male 1 not being the killer due to his convincing expressions of being scared. However this is just to gain the trust of female 1, as he then leads female 1 and the other male further into the forest, before male 1 then kills the other male, revealing to female 1 that he is the killer (antagonist).

However female 1 manages to escape from male 1 and finds her way back to a safe location, before falling over and knocking herself out. When she awakes from 'her fall' she is back in the mini-bus with all of her friends again. She realises it was all just a dream. She thinks it was just a terrible dream, however as she looks over to male 1's bag which is half open she recognizes the book from the dream and freaks out, however the mini-bus has already gone 30 miles into the forest and won't turn back. The group think she's just having one of her fits, but a really bad one, so they decide to carry on. At this point the movie would then come to a finish, leaving the audience unanswered but left to imagine what would come next, maybe they would be alright? or maybe fate has come upon them.
